ACUTE CARE

This type of care is typically required because of a loss of the function or stability of your spine. Most often it is because of a trauma, or a failure from long-standing habits or repeated sprain / strain cycles.

You may require adjustments on a daily basis (or even several times in a day), based on the condition of your spine and the severity of your symptoms and aggravating factors.

This phase of care is usually two to twelve weeks long.

RESTORATIVE CARE

Once your symptoms are reduced, we continue to focus on correcting the issues in your spine that led to the failure and restoring a better level of health to the spinal tissues.

This phase of your care includes analyzing what things in your life are stressing your body and what to do about reducing their impact. Adjustments are typically less frequent, usually weekly to every two weeks.

This phase of care can last up to eighteen months.

PROACTIVE CARE

In this phase of care, adjustments are usually from every two to four weeks depending on the level of degeneration (or arthritis) in your spine and its ability to handle the stresses of life to which you subject it.

The focus is to prevent problems, maintain the changes achieved in the restorative care phase and allow you to live your life at the highest level of function, vitality and expression of who you are.

This type of care is more about performance and whole body wellness than back symptoms. It continues throughout a lifetime.
